The objective of this course is to provide an understanding of the traditional and technical skills necessary to pursue and prepare for the advanced course in painting digital Concept Art and Matte painting for feature Films and Television

The objective of this course is to provide an advanced understanding of digital character painting and the digital backgrounds and matte paintings for the digital cinema. A Prerequisite to the course is the Fundamental Course in Digital Painting or a prerequisite waiver from the Faculty.

The 6 month specialization in Digital Painting is an integrated program comprising the two 3 month courses in Digital Painting provided by FX School and the six month program in Visual Effects. This program enables the student to obtain a very high level of proficiency in those streams of Film and Television Industry that employ a combination of Digital Painting and VFX techniques to create spectacular new visions.
